Learning Outcomes:

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Discuss the core components of effective safeguarding supervision, why it is important and what lessons from practice tell us about its relationship to positive outcomes for children – including how staff wellbeing and emotional responses may impact on decision making.
  • Consider the role that the supervisor can play within the safeguarding system both within their own organisation and at the interface with other organisations.
  • Discuss how to develop and maintain a positive supervision culture within the organisation.
