This will be a series of mathematics sessions to provide participants with continuous professional development throughout the year. Each full day session includes theory based learning linked to subject knowledge and classroom practice, focusing on the key principles of Teaching for Mastery:
•Mathematical thinking
•Variation
•Fluency
•Representation and Structure
•Coherence
These sessions will include the opportunity to plan a lesson or sequence of lessons, based on the above principles. Participants will be given a gap task to complete between each session.
